Senior Product Manager- Security and Compliance

The Product Manager will join the Security and Compliance product management team at Nutanix. About the Team
At Nutanix, you will be joining the Product Management team, a geodispersed group of four dedicated professionals known for their collaborative and hungry culture. This small yet agile team fosters an environment where innovative ideas flourish, and each member's contributions are not only valued but essential in driving our product vision forward. You will be encouraged to engage with a diverse set of perspectives while working closely with colleagues across different locations, making the most of virtual tools to keep the team's synergy strong.
You will report to the Director of Product Management, who is passionate about empowering team members and nurturing their professional growth. The work setup is hybrid, requiring you to be in the office three days a week, allowing for meaningful in-person collaboration while still accommodating a degree of flexibility. Travel requirements are minimal and will be as needed, giving you the opportunity to connect with colleagues or stakeholders in various locations occasionally. Your Role
- Define, own, and manage the business use case planning for compliance and regulatory frameworks certification and maintenance.
- Collect customer forward looking feedback and potential target addressable markets with regulatory and compliance frameworks in mind.
- Write exemplary Product Requirements Documents and work closely with engineers to ensure customer outcomes are met.
- Advocate for cross platform and product security best practices in alignment with strategic regulatory or compliance initiatives. Be able to quantify business justification and communicate to Sr. PM leadership the cost and benefit of pursuing specific compliance regimes.
- Function autonomously on multiple cross-functional initiatives with product managers, engineering, quality assurance, support, and external partners.
- Engage in entrepreneurial activities to explore innovative solutions and advancements in product offerings.
- Establish metrics for success and report on product performance, driving continual improvement and alignment with strategic goals.
What You Will Bring
- A Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or a related field is strongly desired. An MBA would be a plus
- 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in regulatory or compliance spaces with a solid understanding of public and private cloud architecture paradigms.
- Strong technical background in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proven ability to function independently and drive initiatives autonomously.
- Ability to understand competing field requirements, prioritize appropriately, and ultimately build consensus and buy in from the field as well as internal engineering stakeholders.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and alliance-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in new product development.
- Strong communication skills for upward management and stakeholder advocacy.
- Experience in partner ecosystem management and technical integrations.
- Demonstrated focus on outcomes and delivery rather than outputs.
- Understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 156,000 and USD $ 310,800 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
